New Faculty

 Booth Jessica LeighJessica M. Booth, MD, joins the faculty as Assistant Professor on July 1, 2012, after completing a fellowship in obstetrical anesthesiology. Booth served as Co-Chief Resident in the Department of Anesthesiology from 2010-2011, and also completed her residency (2011) at Wake Baptist Medical Center. 
Downard Martina GMartina G. Downard, MD, will join the pediatric anesthesiology section as an Assistant Professor August 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Downward completed a pediatric and anesthesia residency at the Medical College of Georgia in 2011, and a pediatric anesthesia fellowship at Duke University Medical Center (2012).
 Hatch David Matthews

Matthew D. Hatch, MD, completed an obstetric anesthesiology fellowship in June 2012 and joins the faculty as an Assistant Professor in the inpatient and obstetric anesthesiology sections. Hatch completed a residency in anesthesiology (2011) and a fellowship in obstetric anesthesiology (2012) at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

 Jaffe Jonathan D J. Douglas Jaffe, DO, joins the Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain section as an Assistant Professor on July 1, 2012. Jaffe completed a regional anesthesia and acute pain management fellowship in 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center after his residency at Cooper University Hospital in New Jersey where he also served as Chief Resident from 2010-2011.
Silvonek StevenSteven S. Silvonek, MD, completed his anesthesia residency at the University of Vermont (2012) and joins the inpatient anesthesiology section at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center as an Instructor on July 2012. Silvonek received his MD from the University of Pennsylvania State University in 2008. 
Sroka Joseph Michael J. Michael Sroka, MD, joins the pediatric anesthesiology section as an Assistant Professor on July 1, 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He completed a residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center (2011) and a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in June 2012.

Tennant Phillip Roy

 Phillip R. Tennant, MD, completed a residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center (2011) and a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital, University of Colorado-Denver (2012). Tennant joins the pediatric anesthesiology section as an Assistant Professor at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center July 2012.

 Traunero Justin Ryan

Justin R. Traunero, MD, completed his fellowship (2012) and joins the neuroanesthesiology section as an Assistant Professor on July 1, 2012. Traunero also completed an internship and residency (2007-2011) at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
