Amber Brooks, MD, joins the faculty as Assistant Professor on July 1, 2013 in the Inpatient Anesthesiology section. She completed her residency at the University of Alabama (2009) and a Pain Management fellowship in 2010 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to joining Wake Forest Baptist Health, Brooks served as Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
Amy DeRoche, MD, completed a residency in Anesthesiology (2009) and a fellowship in Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (2010) at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and joins the Inpatient Anesthesia and the Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Management sections as an Assistant Professor in August 2013. DeRoche served as Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Management Fellowship at University of California-Irvine from 2010-2013. > more
Sean Dobson, MD, joins the Inpatient Anesthesia and the Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Management section as Assistant Professor in August 2013, after serving at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Virginia. Dobson completed his residency in anesthesiology (2009) and a regional anesthesia fellowship (2010) at Duke University Medical Center.
Eduardo Goenaga-Diaz, MD, returns in September 2013 to join the cardiothoracic section in Anesthesiology as an Assistant Professor. Goenaga-Diaz completed an internship and Anesthesiology residency in 2011, and received his MD in 2007 from Wake Forest School of Medicine.
Keith Scott, MD, joins the Anesthesiology Department as Section Head of Critical Care Medicine in September 2013, after serving at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Scott completed a residency in Internal Medicine (1988) at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical School, and a fellowship in Infectious Disease (1989) at Albany Medical College, and a Critical Care fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 2001. more
Rachana Sharma, MD,, completed a residency at Sawai Man Singh Hospital, Rajasthan University (2001) and an anesthesiology residency at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (2008). Sharma joins the section on Inpatient Anesthesia as an Assistant Professor at Wake Forest Baptist Health July 2013, after serving as Assistant Professor at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
Andrea Strathman, MD, completed an internship and anesthesiology residency at Wake Forest School of Medicine. She also completed a fellowship in Neuroanesthesia in 2013 and joins the Neuroanesthesia faculty as Assistant Professor. Strathman was co-chief resident in the Department of Anesthesiology at Wake Forest School of Medicine from 2011-2012.
