The Medical Laboratory Science Program is affiliated with a number of area colleges and universities which offer a combined degree. Students enrolled in the combined degree program complete three years of a prescribed curriculum at the affiliated institution and twelve months at The Medical Center. Upon successful completion of the combined degree program, each student receives a baccalaureate degree from the affiliated institution and a certificate in Medical Laboratory Science from The Medical Center. The affiliated institutions are:
- Catawba College, Salisbury, NC
- Greensboro College, Greensboro, NC
- Lenoir-Rhyne University, Hickory, NC
- Radford University, Radford, VA
- Salem College, Winston-Salem, NC
- Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC
Baccalaureate graduates from nonaffiliated schools that meet admission requirements are also admitted. In some circumstances, special arrangements for credit transfer can be made with a parent college/university for students from nonaffiliated institutions who do not hold a baccalaureate degree.
