Programs for practicing or past CRNAs
To support the learning needs of practicing CRNAs, the program has informally structured programs for nurse anesthetists who are changing practice areas or who need a refresher in a particular area of practice (such as regional anesthesia). CRNAs who desire specific education can contact the program to establish an individual learning plan.
For more formal refresher education, Wake Forest Baptist Health has partnered with CRNA Review and Update to host a biannual review course for certified registered nurse anesthetists. The program is designed to update skills and knowledge of current theoretical practice in anesthesia in order to meet prevailing standards of nurse anesthesia practice and to qualify for reinstatement of your lapsed certification. The nurse anesthesia program provides the simulation-based skills assessment required for Stage 2 or the NBCRNA's re-entry process. For information on this offering, see this Link to information about our simulation-based skills validation
The simulation re-entry program is offered at a discount for attendees of the CRNA Review and Update course, if registration is completed while on site at the course.
Contact CRNA Review and Update directly at www.crnareviewandupdate.com for more information or to register.
Practicing or out-of-practice CRNAs attend the CRNA Review and Update course as a refresher on current knowledge and practice.
