Student Leadership

DEAC Clinic

The Delivering Equal Access to Care (DEAC) Clinic of Wake Forest Health (WFH) has been a student-led initiative since its conception in 2006.  At its core is an entirely student-run free health clinic which seeks to serve the long-term primary care health needs of local underserved community in the Winston-Salem area.

Since this time, DEAC has grown to involve hundreds of student and physician volunteers.  Over its history, DEAC has harnessed tremendous enthusiasm for health service of underserved populations and hopes to continue to provide vital health care to thousands of Winston-Salem community residents.

The clinic is sponsored by WFH and operates as a collaborative organization involving and coordinating the efforts of health professions students from a variety of Wake Forest University institutions including the School of Medicine, School of Business, School of Law, and WFU undergraduate student body.

More information about the DEAC Clinic can be found on the Wake Forest School of Medicine MD Program website.
