PA Week 2012
The Wake Forest School of Medicine Physician Assistant students celebrated PA Week 2012. In addition to making and distributing PA Week 2012 "Dedicated to PAtient Care" buttons throughout the medical center, the students also are participating in several service learning opportunities. In a recent article in the SECU Family House newsletter, the WFSM PA Students were touted as performing "Volunteer Magic"! Twenty-five first year PA students have started working at the House, where they have landscaped around the side of the House, photographed and updated a list of artwork, completed a weekly House deep clean, played the piano every other Tuesday evening, and planned improvements to the Kiddie Corner. The SECU Family House provides affordable lodging in a caring environment for referred adult patients and/or their caregivers who travel to Winston-Salem, NC for medical treatment.
