Gallery Spaces

Pastel Artwork

There are 10 galleries throughout the Medical Center where visual art is displayed to provide visual stimulation for patients, visitors and employees. Contact information for individual artists is available upon request or in each gallery. Exhibits are displayed for 3 months and are coordinated through the Arts for Health program's Art Curator, Barbara Cullen.

Commons Gallery

Located in the Medical School Lobby, Ground Floor

Ginnie Conaway of Winston-Salem displays fluid acrylic paintings on canvas.

Family Medicine Gallery

Located in Piedmont Plaza I, Third Floor

Caroline Harnish of Travelers Rest, SC, displays acrylic paintings with a spiritual message, some on round canvases.

Reynolds Gallery

Marion Adams of Winston-Salem exhibits 3D polymer clay pieces of foods, including spaghetti and donuts, and accompanied by colored pencil drawings. 

Sticht Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

  • Gallery 1: Ginnie Conaway's painting class from Forsyth Tech displays a variety of work in acrylic, oil and watercolor of landscapes and animals.
  • Gallery 2: Melanie Troutman of Kernersville exhibits acrylic and oil paintings of assorted subjects including dogs.

Spine Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

Associated Artists of Winston-Salem displays a variety of paintings, drawings and prints from its membership including collage, acrylic, alcohol inks, pastels, inks, pencils and watercolors.

Surgical Services

Located in Janeway Tower, First Floor

Ginnie Conaway exhibits a rural landscape done in watercolor.

Watlington Gallery

Located on the First Floor

Marion Adams of Winston -Salem exhibits acrylic, markers and colored pencil artworks of desserts and foods.

Executive Suite Gallery

Located in Janeway Tower, Tenth Floor

  • Patricia Kordas of Southport, NC, exhibits oil paintings of landscapes and Greece.
  • Tucker Smith of Clemmons displays photographs on aluminum of city sights and a train.
  • Sharon Grubbs of Lewisville exhibits oil paintings in abstract designs and nautical themes.
  • Peggy Cleary of Wilmington displays paintings of acrylic, acrylic and sand, and acrylic and encaustic on canvas.

Brenner Children's Hospital

Located on the Ninth Floor

Arts for Life gallery featuring the children of Brenner's artwork.    

Davie Medical Center

Dennis Pollard displays color photography of an assortment of different owls as well as landscapes.

Terri Burke of Lewisville displays photos of Project Pearl rescue animals.
