Gallery Spaces

Pastel Artwork

There are 10 galleries throughout the Medical Center where visual art is displayed to provide visual stimulation for patients, visitors and employees. Contact information for individual artists is available upon request or in each gallery. Exhibits are displayed for 3 months and are coordinated through the Arts & Health program's Art Curator, Barbara Cullen.

Commons Gallery

Located in the Medical School Lobby, Ground Floor

Dr. Brandi Page exhibits horses formed with wire to create 3D pieces with the structures of manes, hooves, tails and other features in detail.

Family Medicine Gallery

Located in Piedmont Plaza I, Third Floor

Joanna Britt displays colorful landscape paintings done in acrylic on canvas.

Reynolds Gallery

Piedmont Craftsmen display a variety of hand made art pieces including tile, textiles, clay, glass, metal, wood and printmaking.

Sticht Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

  • Gallery 1: Dr. Kathryn Greven exhibits photos of mountains taken at sunrise and printed on canvas.
  • Gallery 2: Master Pastelist Bre Barnett Crowell from Charlotte exhibits her colorful landscape pastels.

Spine Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

Alix Hitchcock displays gelatin monotype prints, some with colored pencil,  of various subject matter including nautical forms.

Surgical Services

Located in Ardmore Tower, First Floor

Oil painter Melissa Day exhibits traditional landscape paintings.

Watlington Gallery

Located on the First Floor

Susan Nuttall from Charlotte displays textured relief mixed media pieces as well as an encaustic painting.

Executive Suite Gallery

Located in Janeway Tower, Tenth Floor

Nuttall, Barnett, Day and Hitchcock display works on this level also.

Brenner Children's Hospital

Located on the Ninth Floor

Arts for Life gallery featuring the children of Brenner's artwork.
