Gallery Spaces

Pastel Artwork

There are 10 galleries throughout the Medical Center where visual art is displayed to provide visual stimulation for patients, visitors and employees. Contact information for individual artists is available upon request or in each gallery. Exhibits are displayed for 3 months and are coordinated through the Arts for Health program's Art Curator, Barbara Cullen.

Commons Gallery

Located in the Medical School Lobby, Ground Floor

Emily Thompson of Siler City displays pastels of landscapes and a floral in pen and ink.

Family Medicine Gallery

Located in Piedmont Plaza I, Third Floor

Annette Bartlett-Golden of Greensboro displays watercolors of animals and birds and landscapes done in oils.

Reynolds Gallery

Piedmont Craftsmen of Winston-Salem display a variety of art work, including clay, glass, fabric and metal works.

Sticht Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

  • Gallery 1: Owens Daniels of Winston-Salem displays photos of jazz musicians from his Birth of the Cool series.
  • Gallery 2: David Foster of Decatur, GA, displays nature photographs which have a healing and uplifting feeling.

Spine Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

17th annual employee show including both 2D and 3D pieces, paintings and photography.

Surgical Services

Located in Ardmore Tower, First Floor

Rose Kennedy of Hope Mills displays pastels and oils of landscapes and flowers.

Watlington Gallery

Located on the First Floor

Kathy Brusnighan of Greensboro has put together the traveling Courage II exhibit to bring hope and beauty to hospitals in NC.  Included are works by several artists in a variety of media including acrylic, oil, fabric and watercolor.

Executive Suite Gallery

Located in Janeway Tower, Tenth Floor

Diana Bowman of Greensboro displays watercolors of landscapes and still lifes.  Also on display in this gallery are works by David Foster and Rose Kennedy.

Brenner Children's Hospital

Located on the Ninth Floor

Arts for Life gallery featuring the children of Brenner's artwork.    

Davie Medical Center

Vicki Rees of Raleigh displays her summer themed oil paintings which include fruits, birds, and landscapes.


Trena McNabb of Bethania displays nature paintings in acrylic with pressed leaves.
