Gallery Spaces

Pastel Artwork

There are 10 galleries throughout the Medical Center where visual art is displayed to provide visual stimulation for patients, visitors and employees. Contact information for individual artists is available upon request or in each gallery. Exhibits are displayed for 3 months and are coordinated through the Arts for Health program's Art Curator, Barbara Cullen.

Commons Gallery

Located in the Medical School Lobby, Ground Floor

Patrice Rucker of Winston-Salem displays acrylic paintings of landscapes, seascapes, golf courses, and gardens done in an impressionistic manner.

Family Medicine Gallery

Located in Piedmont Plaza I, Third Floor

  • Jeff Bohan of Winston-Salem displays abstract mixed media work on paper.
  • Joan Evans of Winston-Salem displays color and black and white photography of various subject matter including animals, clouds, skies and trees.

Reynolds Gallery

Kathy Johnson of Lexington displays fiber art of still lifes, flowers and scenery.

Sticht Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

  • Gallery 1: Art students from Forysth Tech (Ginnie Conaway's class) display watercolor and acrylic paintings of landscapes and florals.
  • Gallery 2: Margot Searcy of Winston-Salem displays watercolors of flowers, landscapes and scenery.

Spine Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

Associated Artists of Winston-Salem displays various pieces of art from its exhibiting members, including portraiture, oils, acrylics, mixed media, watercolor, photography.

Surgical Services

Located in Ardmore Tower, First Floor

Susan Lauteman of Winston-Salem displays an oil landscape painting of a barn.

Watlington Gallery

Located on the First Floor

Susan Lauteman of Winston-Salem displays oil paintings of flowers, still life, landscapes.

Executive Suite Gallery

Located in Janeway Tower, Tenth Floor

  • Ginnie Conaway of Winston-Salem displays watercolor paintings of flowers and still life.
  • Susan Lauteman of Winston-Salem displays oil paintings of flowers.
  • Patrice Rucker of Winston-Salem displays impressionistic acrylic paintings of various landscapes and trees.

Brenner Children's Hospital

Located on the Ninth Floor

Arts for Life gallery featuring the children of Brenner's artwork.    

Davie Medical Center

Joyce Metters displays oil paintings on linen and canvas of still life, landscapes, and flowers.

Mona Wu of Winston-Salem displays printingmaking, including intaglio and etching and aquatint.
