Gallery Spaces

Pastel Artwork

There are 10 galleries throughout the Medical Center where visual art is displayed to provide visual stimulation for patients, visitors and employees. Contact information for individual artists is available upon request or in each gallery. Exhibits are displayed for 3 months and are coordinated through the Arts & Health program's Art Curator, Barbara Cullen.

Commons Gallery

Located in the Medical School Lobby, Ground Floor

UMR displays artwork from adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities done in various forms of media including acrylic, mixed media and fiber art.

Family Medicine Gallery

Located in Piedmont Plaza I, Third Floor

Gail Roberts of Winston-Salem displays oil paintings of landscapes and flowers.

Reynolds Gallery

Janet Burgess of Statesville displays 3D art including plaques and bowls.

Sticht Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

  • Gallery 1: Dr. Wenzhong Yang displays colorful photography of landscapes and flowers.
  • Gallery 2: Sam Young of High Point displays mainly black and white photos of various scenes of deterioration of buildings and autos.

Spine Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

Associated Artists of Winston-Salem members show works in various media, including paintings, collages, mixed media, photos and prints.

Surgical Services

Located in Ardmore Tower, First Floor

Annette Bartlett-Golden displays an oil landcape painting.

Watlington Gallery

Located on the First Floor

Ralph Henzler of Winston-Salem displays photography with a somewhat abstract nature.

Executive Suite Gallery

Located in Janeway Tower, Tenth Floor

Kathryn Troxler of Greensboro displays pastels  and oils of landscapes and flowers

Annette Bartlett-Golden of Greensboro displays oil paintings of landscapes.

Brenner Children's Hospital

Located on the Ninth Floor

Arts for Life gallery featuring the children of Brenner's artwork.    

Davie Medical Center

Mark Stephenson of Misenheimer displays oil landscape paintings and portraiture.


Judi Russell of Bermuda Run displays abstract paintings done in mixed media.
