Gallery Spaces

Pastel Artwork

There are 10 galleries throughout the Medical Center where visual art is displayed to provide visual stimulation for patients, visitors and employees. Contact information for individual artists is available upon request or in each gallery. Exhibits are displayed for 3 months and are coordinated through the Arts & Health program's Art Curator, Barbara Cullen.

Commons Gallery

Located in the Medical School Lobby, Ground Floor

Rod Hunter of East Bend displays nature photography of birds, animals and native wildflowers.

Family Medicine Gallery

Located in Piedmont Plaza I, Third Floor

Barbara Mellin of Winston-Salem displays original prints in a variety of printmaking methods.

Reynolds Gallery

Ray Travis of Advance displays raku pottery, including vases, bowls and pitchers.

Sticht Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

  • Gallery 1: Ginnie Conaway's Forsyth Tech art classes display their works in watercolors and acrylics.
  • Gallery 2: Emily Beach-Munday of Winston-Salem displays watercolor paintings of chickens and roosters.

Spine Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

The Arts for Life program (which supports educational art classes for children) displays 25 colorful abstract paintings.

Surgical Services

Located in Ardmore Tower, First Floor

Gail Roberts of Winston-Salem displays traditional landscapes in oil.

Watlington Gallery

Located on the First Floor

Sam Young of High Point will display black and white photography during February and March.

Executive Suite Gallery

Located in Janeway Tower, Tenth Floor

Gail Roberts of Winston-Salem exhibits tradional landscape and floral paintings in oils.

Emily Beach-Munday exhibits oil and watercolor paintings.

Brenner Children's Hospital

Located on the Ninth Floor

Arts for Life gallery featuring the children of Brenner's artwork.    

Davie Medical Center

Dr. Brandon Drafts of Winston-Salem displays his colorful landscape photography.


Jack Hernon of Winston-Salem exhibits large abstract acrylic paintings.
