Visual Art Galleries
There are 8 galleries throughout the Medical Center where visual art is displayed to provide visual stimulation for patients, visitors and employees. Contact information for individual artists is available upon request or in each gallery.
Exhibits are displayed for 3 months and are coordinated through the Arts & Health program's Art Curator, Barbara Cullen.
Commons Gallery
Rankin Williard displays his colorful photographs along with paper collages of various tablets and medicine bottles.
Family Medicine Gallery
Jan Gilliam (Geismar) displays watercolors in brilliant colors, with figurative pieces as well as florals.
Reynolds Gallery
Mary Jane Noah of Walnut Cove exhibits her hand built stoneware clay and fused glass pieces.
Sticht Gallery
- Sticht I: From Charlotte, Kevin Brown exhibits large acrylic and oil landscape paintings depicting peaceful places with a sense of serenity.
- Sticht II: Elizabeth Ferguson displays watercolors and photographs of landscapes, still lifes and animals.
Spine Gallery
Susan Lauteman's large oil paintings are done in an impressionistic manner and include landscapes and flowers.
Surgical Services
Betty Hendrix exhibits her drawings in pastels and colored pencils, depicting landscapes and flowers with emphasis on beach locales.
Watlington Gallery
Virginia Kassay's vibrantly colorful acrylic paintings have varied themes including Africa, auto racing, animals and nature.
Executive Suite Gallery
Kevin Browder paints peaceful landscapes in oil in a traditional manner.
A Hendrix, Brown and Ferguson exhibit will also be displayed.
