Gallery Spaces

Pastel Artwork

There are 10 galleries throughout the Medical Center where visual art is displayed to provide visual stimulation for patients, visitors and employees. Contact information for individual artists is available upon request or in each gallery. Exhibits are displayed for 3 months and are coordinated through the Arts & Health program's Art Curator, Barbara Cullen.

Commons Gallery

Located in the Medical School Lobby, Ground Floor

Sol Levine from Wake Forest, NC, displays his nature photographs of ducks, animals and flowers. Shelia Levine displays oil paintings of flowers, landscapes and animals.

Family Medicine Gallery

Located in Piedmont Plaza I, Third Floor

Emily Beach-Munday of Winston-Salem creates watercolor and oil paintings of animals and nature.

Reynolds Gallery

Arts for Life displays colorful images of the artistic programs and information on the organization as well as original artwork.

Sticht Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

  • Gallery 1: Ginnie Conaway of Winston-Salem displays colorful watercolors of still lifes, vegetables, animals and landscapes.
  • Gallery 2: Barbara Mellin of Winston-Salem displays original prints created with  a variety of methods and includes an explanation with the artist statement.

Spine Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

From New York City, photographer George Grubb displays photographic scenes taken around the world in remote areas, with an emphasis on endangered animals in natural habitats, with each photo depicting serenity and beauty.

Surgical Services

Located in Ardmore Tower, First Floor

Anne Kiefaber of Greensboro displays landscape paintings created in oil.

Watlington Gallery

Located on the First Floor

Mark Stephenson of Meisenheimer, NC, displays his landscape oil paintings of various scenes in the country and mountain areas.

Executive Suite Gallery

Located in Janeway Tower, Tenth Floor

This gallery includes art from Kiefaber, Stephenson and Mellin.

Brenner Children's Hospital

Located on the Ninth Floor

Arts for Life gallery featuring the children of Brenner's artwork.    

Davie Medical Center

Judi Russell of Bermuda Run displays landscapes, creative acrylic abstracts, and pastels of trees.


Alix Hitchcock of Mocksville displays her colorful gelatin monotype prints (with colored pencil) of human and nautical shapes in abstract form.
