Gallery Spaces

Pastel Artwork

There are 10 galleries throughout the Medical Center where visual art is displayed to provide visual stimulation for patients, visitors and employees. Contact information for individual artists is available upon request or in each gallery. Exhibits are displayed for 3 months and are coordinated through the Arts & Health program's Art Curator, Barbara Cullen.

Commons Gallery

Located in the Medical School Lobby, Ground Floor

Chip McCall from Savannah, Georgia, uses oil paint on panel to display visually interesting imagery with insight into nature.

Family Medicine Gallery

Located in Piedmont Plaza I, Third Floor

Bill Crowder of Greensboro shows a variety of works in watercolor and acrylic as well as mixed media.

Reynolds Gallery

Diane Demers-Smith displays multi-colored designs on plates, cups, bowls, saucers and mugs, some made with porcelain clay.

Sticht Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

  • Gallery 1: Bill Clubb displays black and white, as well as color photography of landscapes, city scenes and people, some of which are printed on canvas.
  • Gallery 2: Ken Bridle of Walnut Cove displays watercolor paintings of our natural world, including autumn leaves.

Spine Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

Craig Richards of Winston-Salem displays oil paintings that reflect his deep love for the outdoors. 

Surgical Services

Located in Ardmore Tower, First Floor

Craig Richards displays oil paintings of landscapes.

Watlington Gallery

Located on the First Floor

Linda Foster of Clemmons displays her colorful watercolors of flowers, birds and still life.

Executive Suite Gallery

Located in Janeway Tower, Tenth Floor

Karen-eve Bayne of Asheville displays fabric art done with cellular patterned designs. Terry Ashley of Asheville displays collages and mixed media designs with science and nature in mind. Also, Richardson, Bridle and Foster display art in this area.

Brenner Children's Hospital

Located on the Ninth Floor
