Classification of Newly Diagnosed Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

What we are studying

The purpose of this study is to find out the specific subtype of the leukemia patients have. This is needed to decide the type and intensity of therapy that will best treat the disease, to learn more about what causes leukemia and about how to improve treatment in the future.

    • American Indian or Alaska Native
    • Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander
    • Other
  • All Ethnicities
  • All Ages up to 30

Eligibility Criteria

  • Patients with newly diagnosed acute leukemia
  • Patients with suspected Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)
  • Must be less than 31 years of age at time of diagnosis

What is involved

  • Initial involvement in this study lasts about 29 days
  • Study activities include testing of blood and bone marrow samples
