Use of PET scans in Patients with Metastatic Prostate Cancer

What we are studying

This study is being done to see if using a radioactive molecule (FMDHT) is better at detecting the spread of prostate cancer than a usual PET scan.

  • All Ethnicities
  • Ages 30+

Eligibility Criteria

  • Adenocarcinoma of Prostate;clinical staging at time of first FMDHT scan;Metastatic Prostate Cancer;willing to have PSA (Prostate-specific Antigen) evaluated

What is involved

  • 1 PET scan
  • 1 blood draw
