Follow-Up Care Experiences of Rural Cancer Survivors

What we are studying

The goal of the study is to learn about the experiences of cancer survivors who live in rural areas. We also hope to learn about any barriers that people may have to getting the follow-up medical care they need for their cancer. This study will help us develop future programs that will assist cancer survivors after they complete their cancer treatment.

• Men and Women
• Races:
  • White
  • African American
  • Asian
  • American Indian or Alaska Native
  • Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander
  • Other
• All Ethnicities
• Ages 40+

Eligibility Criteria

• Primary diagnosis of:
  • 1) breast 2) prostate or 3) colorectal cancer and received treatment at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Wake Forest
• Primary cancer diagnosis of two to five years ago
• Currently reside in a zip code with a rural code designation

What is involved

• A survey on paper or by phone

Compensation:

You will receive a check or gift card for $10 after you complete the survey to thank you for your time.
