Clinical Trial of Adjuvant Radiation Versus Chemoradiation

What we are studying

The purpose of this study is to determine if weekly chemotherapy with cisplatin and simultaneous radiation therapy increases the time you live disease-free compared to radiation therapy alone.

  • Races:
    • White
    • African American
    • American Indian or Alaska Native
    • Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander
  • Hispanic or Latino
  • Ages 18+

Eligibility Criteria

  • Diagnosed with cervical cancer

What is involved

  • Regimen I will receive radiation therapy on Days 1-5; followed by 2 days without treatment for 5 to 6 weeks
  • Regimen II will receive cisplatin intravenously on Day 1 of each week and radiation therapy on Days 1-5; followed by 2 days without treatment for 5-6 weeks

Compensation

Parking will be validated for study-related visits.
