CMR-IMPACT

What we are studying

This is a clinical trial involving emergency department patients with intermediate to high-risk chest pain and detectable to minimally elevated serum troponin within 6 hours of evaluation. Participants will be randomized to one of two care strategies: a) invasive-based guideline-adherent strategy, or b) CMR-guided.

  • Ages 21+

Eligibility Criteria

  • Symptoms consistent with acute coronary syndrome
  • Physician global impression of intermediate to high-risk formulated with the ACC/AHA framework

What is involved

  • Randomization into one of the study groups: MRI-guided care group or control group
  • At least 3 telephone follow calls

Compensation

Participants will be eligible to receive a $20 gift card per completed follow-up phone call for a maximum of $80 over the course of the study.
