Treatment of Active Non-infectious Eye Inflammation (Uveitis)

What we are studying

In this clinical research study, participants will be given an investigational drug to learn more about how the drug works in the human body. It is planned to develop this drug for various conditions where inflammation plays a major role such as Behçet’s disease uveitis (eye inflammation) and other non-infectious uveitis, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, dermatology and rheumatology. The investigational drug is a monoclonal antibody that was made in the lab to fight some proteins that cause inflammation. Antibodies are proteins normally produced in your body and used by your immune system to fight harmful substances, such as microorganisms that cause infection. Uveitis is caused by inflammation of the uvea, or middle layer of the eye, and includes the iris (the colored part) as well as other areas further inside the eye that can only be examined with special equipment.
