A Study to Slow Vision Loss Due to Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD)

What we are studying

This is a two year study of an monthly injection of experimental medication to slow the vision loss due to dry AMD.

Who we are studying

  • Men and Women
  • Races:
    • White
    • African American
    • Asian
    • American Indian or Alaska Native
    • Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander
    • Other
  • Not Hispanic or Latino
  • Ages 50 - 85

Eligibility Criteria

  • Both eyes must have dry AMD
  • If you have ever had "wet" AMD in any eye you can not be in this study.

What is involved

  • Study visit to WF Eye Center every 4-6 weeks for two years
  • Monthly injections to slow loss of vision

Compensation

A gift card of $50.00 per study visit
