Study of the Effects of FDA Approved Drugs Used Together in Men with Prostate Cancer

What we are studying

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the response to abiraterone acetate and prednisone in African American and Caucasian men with metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer.

  • Men
  • Races:
    • White
    • African American
  • Hispanic or Latino
  • Ages 18+

Eligibility Criteria

  • Have confirmed prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body
  • Have the ability to swallow the study drug

What is involved

  • Physical examination
  • Vitals
  • Race and ethinicity questionnaire
  • ECG
  • CT/MRI to monitor health
  • Blood draws to monitor health
  • Optional research blood draw
  • Optional collection of tissue for research
