A study to learn about the effects of alcohol and craving on brain networks

What we are studying

The Laboratory for Complex Brain Networks (LCBN) is conducting a research study investigating the effects of alcohol use and your brain. This purpose of this study is to find out how craving, stress, and drinking average amounts of alcohol every day affect the brain. This study will begin recruiting June 11th.

Who is Eligible

  • All Genders
  • Races:
    • White
    • African American
    • Asian
    • American Indian or Alaska Native
    • Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander
    • Other
  • All Ethnicities
  • Ages 24 - 60

Eligibility Criteria

  • Drink alcohol most days of the week

What is involved

  • Three visits to the LCBN
  • Willing to abstain from alcohol for three days
  • Two brain MRIs

Compensation

You will be compensated $300 for your time.
