2009.11.23 Weekly Broadcast Email

 Dear colleagues,

We are considering a concept using a highly purified ginger preparation to treat chemotherapy induced nausea. The investigators proposing the concept have several questions they would appreciate you answering to help with study design. The questions are:

1) would you be willing to enter a patient on a study using this highly purified ginger preparation as primary anti-emetic prophylaxis instead of conventional anti-emetics?

2) would you be willing to randomize a patient who failed standard primary anti-emetic prophylaxis on a study of second line anti-emetic prophylaxis with or without the highly purified ginger preparation?

Thanks in advance for your response.
