Accrual Totals:
In the month of April, 15 patients were accrued to CCCWFU CCOP Research Base trials. Ochsner Clinic Foundation and CTSU were tied for the top accruing site with 4 patients each. See the Research Base website <http://www1.wfubmc.edu/cancer/Researchbase/> spotlight section for further information.

Announcements:
The results from several recently closed Research Base studies have been accepted for presentation at ASCO (June 4-8, 2010). Those studies include:
97202: Randomized Double-Blind Placebo-Controlled Study of Oral Coenzyme Q10 to Relieve Self-Reported Cancer Treatment Related Fatigue in Breast Cancer Patients
98308: A Phase III Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo Controlled Trial of North American Ginseng Extract (CVT-E002;COLD-FX®) to Prevent Respiratory Infection and Reduce Antibiotic Use in Patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.
