2010.07.29 Weekly Broadcast Email
There following updates were made to the CCCWFU CCOP Research Base website for the week of July 19, 2010.
Announcement:
97405: (A Randomized Study of Soy Protein and Effexor on Vasomotor Symptoms of Men with Prostate Cancer) – This study is closed to accrual as of July 29, 2010. The IRB approval letter for this closure is pending and will be posted to the website as soon as it becomes available. Based on the recommendation of the Data Safety Monitoring Board, we have made the decision to close the Soy/Effexor male hot flash study. A planned interim analysis indicated that it was unlikely significant differences would be shown between the placebo and treatment arms with further accrual. Thank you for your support of the study. We will be submitting the study results to ASCO next year.
