Accrual Totals:
During the month of March, 139 patients were accrued to CCCWFU CCOP Research Base trials. Congratulations to the Delaware CCOP, SCCC and CTSU for accruing the most patients. See the Research Base website spotlight section for further information.
99211 Announcement:
(Feasibility of Delivering a Quitline Based Smoking Cessation Intervention in Lung Cancer Patients Receiving Outpatient Treatment: A Pilot Study)
All site staff that do not enroll at least one participant in the smoking cessation counseling for more than 6 months will need to be recertified. We urge all sites to expedite the IRB submission process so that they can enroll their first patient prior to April 22nd. Sites can be recertified by sending an audio tape to the CCCWFU CCOP Research Base Protocol Information Office. (2000 W. 1st Street Suite 401, Winston-Salem, NC 27104)
