There following updates were made to the CCCWFU CCOP Research Base website for the week of April 9, 2012.

97609 Announcement: 

(Impact of Genomics and Exposures on Disparities in Breast Cancer Radiosensitivity)

The non-Hispanic white accrual currently is 314  out of 400. Enrollment for this arm of the study will close for additional participants on May 11, 2012 or when accrual meets 400, whichever comes first. 

There are 638 accruals remaining.   Of those,  the following minority accruals are available: African American- 166, Hispanic/Latino- 194, Asian or Pacific Islander- 98, and American Indian or Alaska Native- 100.  Thank you for your participation in this study.

99211 Announcement:
(Feasibility of Delivering a Quitline Based Smoking Cessation Intervention in Lung Cancer Patients Receiving Outpatient Treatment: A Pilot Study)

All site staff that do not enroll at least one participant in the smoking cessation counseling for more than 6 months will need to be recertified.  We urge all sites to expedite the IRB submission process so that they can enroll their first patient prior to April 22^nd. Sites can be recertified by sending an audio tape to the CCCWFU CCOP Research Base Protocol Information Office.  (2000 W. 1^st Street Suite 401, Winston-Salem, NC 27104)
