The following updates were made to the CCCWFU CCOP Research Base website for the week of October 1, 2012.
Registration Open for Annual Meeting
The CCCWF CCOP Research Base 12th Annual Meeting will be held October 25-27, 2012 in Alexandria, VA.* Online registration is now available on ourwebsite. Workshops on Minority Recruitment and Retention, Quitline Certification Refresher and Neurocognitive Battery Administration will be offered. A new regulatory session has been added with a representative from the Wake Forest IRB to present IRB perspectives on Informed Consent and Genetics/Specimen Storage/Return of Research Results.** Talks on Taste/Smell Abnormalities in Patients with Cancer, Use of Biomarkers in Clinical Trials and Human Personalities in the Workplace will be presented during general sessions and the physician tract will offer an afternoon of sessions geared towards the community based practice.Contact Lisa Autry with any questions.

*This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation for 17.5 continuing education credits.

Accrual Totals:
During the month of September, 44 patients were accrued to CCCWFU CCOP Research Base trials. Congratulations to CTSU and San Juan CCOP for accruing the most patients. See the Research Base website spotlight section for further information.
