We have to
start treating childhood injury as a serious health problem that can be
approached systematically like a disease to improve survival rates.
The Childress Institute strives to make pediatric trauma a nationally-recognized and supported issue by raising awareness about the No. 1 killer of children in America. We want to help the public understand that “pediatric
trauma” means serious injuries to children.
There are many excellent organizations working to prevent injuries and keep children safe. The Childress Institute is focused on treating all injured children from the point of injury through treatment and recovery. Though we do not have a prevention focus, we encourage you to visit our Prevention Resources page to see a list of helpful prevention organizations.
