Research

Cardiovascular Changes in Pediatric Trauma
CIPT Scholar Dr. Alison Gardner's research found that a large percentage of children with shock have sustained isolated head injuries, and that this is more common in younger children. This could help shift the paradigm for treatment of shock in young children with head injuries.

Education

Golden Hour Fund
The "golden hour" is the time following a traumatic injury when prompt medical treatment has the highest likelihood to prevent death. Our goal is to raise $100,000 before the end of 2012 to fund Pediatric International Trauma Life Support and Critical Care Support trainings.

Pediatric Trauma Conference
Clinicians received CME credits for attending the 3rd Annual Brenner Children's Hospital Pediatric Trauma Conference hosted by CIPT on October 17. We plan to continue providing CME credit specific to pediatric trauma education. View videos of the conference on YouTube.
