The Department of Cancer Biology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center is an interdisciplinary cancer research program. Our goal is to develop and encourage a core of innovative basic and translational scientists to intensively and exclusively focus on cancer research.
The objectives of the Cancer Biology training program are to train scholars and promote research in Cancer Biology in a highly personal atmosphere. The program is deliberately small to provide individual mentoring and teaching opportunities. As such, the program accepts up to 8 students each year. A highly motivated faculty body provides training. This approach provides a unique interdisciplinary training environment without losing focus on the cancer problem.
