 The following updates were made the website for the week of March 16, 2009.

91105: (Phase III Double Blind, Placebo Controlled Study of Donepezil in Irradiated Brain Tumor Patients)
Amendment 6 was approved and posted to the website on 3/12/09. The Change Form has been updated since last week to include changes to appendices and correct language on consent form. All other documents (protocol, consent and appendices) have remained the same.

98308: (A Phase III Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo Controlled Trial of North American Ginseng Extract (CVT-E002; COLD-fX®) to Prevent Respiratory Infection and Reduce Antibiotic Use in Patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia)
Closure Amendment (#6) was released on 01/29/09. A protocol including a closure date has now been posted to the website with a change form listing the addition.

91105 :

At this time, we can provide patients $40 for gas, parking, etc. this will come in the form of 2 - $20 gift cards to be given during the study at some point after the baseline visit. These cards will be purchased through the study PI and distributed by Robin Rosdhal to sites that have 91105 open. Enough will be sent to each site to give to enrolled patients and a few extra cards for future enrollments. The protocol indicates up to but not more than $60. This amount will depend on funding… but for now, we can do $40 as indicated in the consent form. The gift cards will be distributed as soon as they are received. The CCCWFU Research Base is sponsoring a one day intensive training workshop for sites that intend to participate in study # 91105 " A Phase III Double Blind, Placebo Controlled Study of Donepezil in Irradiated Brain Tumor Patients" which is testing a well-tolerated drug used to enhance cognitive performance in brain tumor patients who are >6 months post brain radiation therapy and who meet other study criteria. This one day intensive session will be held on March 25, 2009 on the campus of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
