CAM-Community Committee. This committee is chaired by Dr. Thomas Arcury (Family Medicine). It promotes dialogue and understanding between members of the academic medical center and integrative practitioners in the community. This committee is responsible for the Wake Forest/Natural Triad Seminar Series.
Community Advisory Board. This committee is chaired by Julie Milunic, publisher of Natural Triad magazine. This board helps advise the Center leaders about community priorities and events. It also promotes support for the Center in the community.
Consortium of Academic Health Centers of Integrative Medicine (CAHCIM) Representatives link our Center to over 40 academic health centers working to enhance integrative health care. Our representatives participate regularly in working group conference calls. We meet together twice yearly to share information and report regularly to the Center’s leadership team.
Leadership Committee. This committee is comprised of academic and administrative leaders in the medical center, the chair of the Community Advisory Board, and the directors of integrative clinical service programs at the medical center. Dr. Kemper chairs this committee. Vice chairs are Dr. Walt Curl (Orthopedics), and Mr. Steve Snelgrove (Vice President for Operations).
National Advisory Board. This board will advise the Center leadership about national trends and events in integrative medicine. It will promote national support and recognition for Center activities. If you are interested in volunteering to serve on this committee, please contact CIM.
On-line Education About Dietary Supplements. This committee is developing an on-line education program about dietary supplements. Like our earlier projects, this program focuses on health professionals. New features will include the potential for certification, and multi-media tools. Unlike our earlier program, this project is purely educational; it is not supported by external research funding. It is chaired by Dr. Kemper.
Pilot Project Oversight Committee. This committee reviews criteria for and progress of pilot projects done under the auspices of the Center. Members include Dr. Kemper, Dr. Arcury and Dr. Rejeski.
