Maria Mirabelli, PhD MPH

Mirabelli is an epidemiologist whose main areas of research are environmental and occupational health. Her research focuses on respiratory disease and occupational illness and injury. She also has a strong interest in epidemiologic and statistical methods.
Mirabelli’s current projects include research about risk factors for new-onset and exacerbations of occupational asthma (with the European Community Respiratory Health Survey Occupational Working Group), inhalation exposures and respiratory health among professional cleaners (with the Centre for Research in Environmental Epidemiology), respiratory health among workers in the poultry industry (with Dr. Sara A. Quandt), and respiratory health among farmworkers in North Carolina (with Dr. Thomas A. Arcury).
