Join us for the Winston-Salem Walk to Defeat ALS ®, set for Saturday, May 7, at Bridger Field House at BB&T Stadium. The Medical Center is home to one of five ALS Centers in the state and this walk is a crucial piece of the fight against ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). The Walk empowers people with ALS, their families, friends, and the business community to fight back against a disease that leaves many feeling powerless.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. The Walk to Defeat ALS is the ALS Association's biggest annual event, raising funds to sustain patient care and support research on this devastating disease.
