About the Program
The Comprehensive Cancer Center of Wake Forest University opened the Tumor Immunotherapy Program in 2007. This program focuses on the treatment of melanoma and renal cell cancer with biologic therapies including vaccines, interferon, and high-dose Interleukin-2. As the first academic, comprehensive immunotherapy program in Northwest North Carolina and Southern Virginia, our multidisciplinary program consists of dedicated and specially trained physicians, nurses, pharmacists and social workers.
