It is important to keep physically and emotionally healthy as much as possible during cancer treatment. We offer some of the following physical, educational and fun activities:
Warm water pool classes
for adults (arthritis, low impact, moderate and cardio) are offered in the
Sticht Center. Ai Chi, a form of aquatic
exercise, is also open to everyone at Salemtowne Retirement Community on Mondays
and Wednesdays at 1:00pm.
Pre-registration is required for all classes. To register or to receive more information,
contact Debbie Drayton at (336) 713-8082 or email: email@example.com.
Healing Voices is a group
of Medical Center employees and friends who enjoy singing and contributing to
the healing arts. They perform twice a
month on various patient unites in the hospital, once at noon on the first
Wednesday of each month and once at 4pm on the third Wednesday of each
month. Please contact Gretchen Bayne

Engaging in art during
times of stress, depression, pain, boredom and isolation can help alleviate
these symptoms and create positive felling which aid in healing. Arts & Health provides opportunities for
patients to receive an art kit that may include the following: coloring books,
journals, colored pencils, origami, watercolors, zentangles, pattern lessons
and brain teasers. Please contact
