Patient Navigators
Our breast cancer patient navigators play a vital role to our breast cancer patients. Specially trained to advise and guide patients during the challenging and exhausting time of breast cancer treatment, our patient navigators, Mary Flowers and Robin Lewis provide the following services to patients:
- Guidance and expertise—The world of breast cancer treatment can be a confusing and overwhelming place. Our navigators help patients by reviewing their options, clearly explaining the pros and cons to each treatment decision and helping navigate financial and caregiver concerns.
- Patient education—Helping patients understand the basics as well as the more complicated parts of their treatment is critical. Our navigators educate patients about breast cancer as well as how to care for themselves during the process of treatment.
- Resource management—There are so many programs established to help breast cancer patients, that patients are simply unaware of them. Our patient navigators provide patients with a full list of resources that will be valuable to them during diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.
