Tumor Immunotherapy Program

About the Program

The Comprehensive Cancer Center of Wake Forest University opened the Tumor Immunotherapy Program in 2007. This program focuses on the treatment of melanoma and renal cell cancer with biologic therapies including anti-cancer vaccines, high-dose Interleukin-2, and immune checkpoint inhibitors.. As the first academic, comprehensive immunotherapy program in Northwest North Carolina and Southern Virginia, our multidisciplinary program consists of dedicated and specially trained physicians, nurses, pharmacists and social workers.
