Industry COI Management

Guidelines to be considered before engaging in Non-Certified Continuing Education (CCE) courses for our faculty, staff and students may be found in the policy and in the documents below. Non-CCE educational events must be approved by the department chair or department head and the Medical Center COI Office before attendance. Some activities may require additional review by the Co-ICE committee. Requests must be made using one of the following documents: 

Speaking for promotional and marketing purposes is strictly prohibited. Guidelines to be considered before speaking for or organizing an event sponsored by Industry may be found in the policy and in the document below. Such events must be approved by the department chair or department head and the Medical Center COI Office before the activity. For additional consideration, you may be asked to submit slides, handouts, etc. to the Co-ICE committee for approval. Requests must be made using the following document:

Outside employment involves a personal consulting agreement and must be approved by the department chair or department head prior to engaging in the work involved.  A copy should be sent to the Medical Center COI Office for information only. Requests must be made using the following document with the consulting agreement attached:
