Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening

Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a bulge in the aorta that is frequently asymptomatic and can go undiagnosed. Aneurysm screening is recommended if you have a history of smoking and are 65 or older, or if you have a family member who has had an aortic aneurysm. Screening for (AAA) is a simple, painless test that uses ultrasound to look at your abdominal arteries.
