Dermatopathology Unit
The Dermatopathology Unit uses various techniques to provide expert tissue analysis and diagnosis of skin lesions. This is done to support the clinical and research efforts of the department. Currently the staff is using and developing molecular techniques to aid in the diagnosis of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the skin and tumors. Special emphasis is put on research into and diagnosis of cancers including melanomas and lymphomas of the skin.
