Dr. Satko graduated from the University Of Virginia School of Medicine in 1994. He completed internal medicine residency from 1994-1997 and nephrology fellowship from 1997-1999, both at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, and has been an attending faculty member at Wake Forest School of Medicine since 1999, where he has served as the nephrology fellowship program director since 2002. He underwent his interventional nephrology training at the Dialysis Access Group of Wake Forest University. He has served on the Data Committee of the Southeastern Kidney Council and is a reviewer for national and international journals. Dr. Satko has been listed in the Best Doctors in America registry for the past several years.
