Dr John is an excellent Dr, very respectful and great clinical skills.
Dr. Birkedal gave me a lot of time, knew about my problem, explained to me in a way I could easily understand, guided me in what course of action I should follow, and set up a follow-up appointment. He definitely is knowledgeable about my back problem, pain, spine, sciatica. I feel confident he will get me through this. He is the best doctor I have ever encountered -- caring and well educated, understanding, perceptive. I cannot say enough good about Dr. Birkendal.
exhibiting high standards
We've told quite a few people, how wonderful *Dr. Birkedal is!!
Dr. Birkedal was not aware of my surgeries until I mentioned them even though I had seen him in the past. Doesn't anyone read our records prior to encountering the patient?
Dr. Birkedal was one of the most wonderful doctors I've ever seen.
Dr. Birkedal is an excellent surgeon.
The surgery that *Dr. Birkedal accomplished the desired result - No pain in left hip and leg.
Didn't discuss medications that I can remember. Dr. Birkedal answered all my questions thoroughly. I told him I really didn't know which Dr. I would use for the surgery and he told me to go home and when I felt at peace about it, then I would know. I liked that answer and I especially liked him and felt he gave me good advice.
*Dr. Birkedal was very friendly. Referred by *Dr. Syed.
Dr Birkedal is not only a great doctor he also is a great person. We are so thankful to God for sending him to do my surgery. The whole team was great and very helpful to my making my decision to have this surgery. Thank you Dr Birkedal and the whole Wake Med team for all you have done. God bless you all
Could have provided more information about actual procedure and recovery time line
MD spent minimal time in room. Resident working with MD was polite and a good listener, however when MD came in the room he explained his view of the issue, showed me 1-2 exercises (to prove his dx) and told me to go to physical therapy. There was not an opportunity to answer questions/express concerns.
Dr. Birkedal is a gentleman.
*Dr. Birkedal is one of the best doctors I have ever deal with!
*Dr. Birkedal is an excellent dr.
Likelihood of my recommending this doctor is based not on his service, but on my physical therapist's positive words about him.
Rude and unconcerned with my issues
Since I waited so long I expected five minutes with him.
