terrible bedside manner. I am an attorney and still felt like he was talking down to me. very sarcastic and blunt. refused to listen to anything I had to say. will not be seeing him again.
Dr Coates is very good. He treats me with respect for my knowledge.
Excellent surgeon. Excellent in prescribing the relief for the after surgery complication; His dismissal of the increase to constant pain and inability to make me feel like he understood needs work. I know his hands were tied in scheduling; but Dr Coates made this experience worse because he acted like he didn't care; I'm sure he did, but it wasn't relatable to me at the time.
very pleased with care given by dr Coatesthis was a work in appointment. dr Coates & staff were concerned about my need to be seen & I was given excellent care
Dr. Coates is EXCELLENT. Explains everything in great detail, you never feel rushed during a visit and you have his undivided attention. You goes to great length to know medical history and makes decision with your best possible outcome in mind. No one wants to have surgery, but if you do, this is the type of provider you want - detail oriented, kind and patient focused.
We would recommend Dr. Coats to any of our friends, especially with sports related injuries. From going to Taylor might not be able to play the sport she loves, to being released to play, he understood how important it was to her. He provided the best surgery option, got Taylor is with an excellent PT, and gave her instructions to heal and be able to play.
