What brought you to Wake Forest Baptist Health?
Wake Forest Baptist Health felt like home after completing my residency in the Internal Medicine Program. I was drawn to stay after knowing the caliber and character of physicians I would be working with, in addition to the quality medical facility as a whole.
What are your clinical specialties?
I am a trained Internal Medicine physician. I take care of adult patients for all their health care needs.
Why did you decide to become a primary care doctor?
The relationships I build with my patients. I am given the opportunity to take care of the patient as a whole and follow him or her throughout their life.
What is your patient care philosophy?
Treat my patients as I would want to be treated or would want a member of my family to be treated. Patient- physician relationships are built on trust, knowledge and an open dialogue.
What do you enjoy most about working with patients?
Getting to know each of them on a personal level and building a partnership to assist them in working through medical problems.
What type of volunteer and/or community activities are you involved in?
Most of my off time is devoted to my family. Currently I have a toddler that keeps me on my toes and quite busy while I am not at work. I am an active member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church. I also take great pride in my neighborhood community and enjoy many long walks with my loved ones.
What fun facts should we know about you?
I love the beach; it has been a part of my life since I can remember. Some of my favorite past times are walking on a beach in mid-October with a chill in the air and the serenity of the ocean. In fact, my first date with my husband was on the beach. He picked that same spot to propose to me.
