Good means they were very nice to me and my daughter. #9. Good yes.

I am very satisfied with my provider & his staff.

Dr. Sheilds is an excellent surgeon, and was the 2nd opinion I sought concerning hip surgery. He gave me information about pre-surgery and his techniques I hadn't received from the first care provider. I never felt rushed, and he's an exterely positive person. I would return to him without question. I initially expressed a desire to improve my hip because I 'couldn't run... away or to something...or jog a half-block with my dog.' What I heard him say pre-surgery was that high-impact activities-post surgery were discouraged. He explained about the unnecessary wear and tear high impact activities would place on the prosthesis. He probably included the word 'running' in the sentence. I finally heard at my 6 week checkup "No, you can't run." "Not ever?" "No... you can walk your dog..use the elliptical..." etc. It's a small point, and I'd have had the surgery anyway, and it's likely my hearing problem, but as with students or children, maybe he could consider "No, you should not run after surgery, not ever." It's a small thing, but dense folk like me sometimes need that!

Dr Shields took the time to listen to my concerns and had already looked at my file and information before coming in to speak with me. Very professional and caring.

I have never had a bad experience at Davie Medical Center.

I was treated very good while I was at your office.

I am hard to impress but I was very impressed with Dr. Shields! Kind, caring and concerned

I now have a good understanding of my condition (I did not have before) and have a plan of treatment. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Shields & his PA.

Post-op knee replacement. Excellent recovery - NO problems whatsoever - *Dr. Shields wonderful doctor. Excellent care EVERY department from 1st visit to last.

Wonderful doctor - - very patient with my numerous questions.

Very good getting ready to have surgery (right hip complete replacement) dr. very supportive.

Very attentive.

This care provider is an outstanding doctor. This has been an amazing experience. Words can not express how grateful I am for his expertise, caring and true concern.

I have already recommended Dr shields and the center to oters

Wonderful doctor.

I have a very physical and demanding job and ive recommended Dr shields to anyone who tells me they may need ny kind of replacements

I was pleasantly surprised by his congeniality on this visit. Last visit was not as palatable. He listened and asked if I had any questions, which always make a patient feel that they are being well cared for by a provider.

Dr Shields provided excellent care and I could not imagine a better outcome. He communicates well by proving all the information to make an informed decision to decide on surgery. After surgery there were clear and concise instruction on what needed to be done to have a great recovery. If it were not for the two knee replacements he did I would not be walking today. He literally changed my life.

Already have been recommending this location and Dr. Shields.

Yes, and I have. My friend is having hip problems and I told her about Dr. Shields. She made appt. w/him and saw him in his office...She too, was very pleased and satisfied.

I feel like I am getting the best care possible.

I have already recommended this care provider to several friends of mine.

Love Dr. Shields. Truly appreciate his friendliness and caring attitude.

always great and professional

No bad experiences. My husband and I have been telling everyone we know and don't know about this facility and the provider.

*Dr. Shields is the best doctor ever! I have full trust in him. He's the best!!

Having other knee replaced in a few months by same provider.

A very positive experience.

I got excellent care before during & after my surgery.

I was completely confident and worry-free, and depend on all these people. #9. Great confidence.

appointment with provider seemed rushed

this provider knew what he was doing and he was very respectful. He was very confident and he relayed that confidence to me.

I love Dr. Shields! He is the best doctor I have had in a long time! He gave me my life back by helping me walk again, my hip replacements have been the best thing Ive done in years!! I will always go to him for help and advice in the future. Hes the best!!!!!!

I have already been telling people about how good Dr. Shields is and has always been. It is so good to know that "people friendly" is a good thing. There has been so many good changes in the years since I spent so much time there with my husband. I am so thankful to see these changes.

Dr. Shields in a very articulate Dr. I have no conplaints. I've had no problems with the surgery.

I came to Dr. Shields for a second opinion regarding hip replacement. This will be my 10th surgery on my lower body, so I have unfortunately met quite a few doctors in the last 12 years. Never in those 12 years has a doctor spent as much time with me as did Dr. Shields and his assisting doctor. I was so impressed with him not only as a doctor, but as a person. As a result of that meeting, I elected to terminate my very long standing relationship with Ortho Carolina and move my health care needs to Dr. Shields and others at Baptist. I look forward to him conducting the surgery so I can get my life somewhat back to normal. Baptist should count their blessings to have such a wonderful doctor.

Let me know I was on the right track regarding my health & knees.
