Doctor Ward in Haiti
Dr. Ward and Dr. Dorsey (WFSM alum) participated in relief efforts in Haiti in 2010.

Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. William Ward has helped design implants for joint replacements and bone tumor reconstructions.

He is specially trained not only in orthopaedic surgery and joint replacement, but also bone cancer surgery and limb salvage. Dr. Ward is also one of our orthopaedic surgeons among the 288 doctors from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center named to the Best Doctors in America® in 2010.

His clinical specialties include: sarcomas, arthroscopic surgery, total joint replacement, bone and soft tissue tumors, endoprostheses, arthroscopy of the shoulder and knee, shoulder replacement, knee and hip replacement, musculoskeletal oncology, sports medicine, revision knee and hip replacement surgery, limb salvage and general orthopaedics. 

Dr. Ward received his medical degree and completed residencies in surgery and orthopaedic surgery at Duke University. He had additional training at Grady Memorial/Emory University/VA Hospitals in Georgia, Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Ohio and UCLA Affiliated Hospitals in California. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
