Contacting the Doctor
Our goal is to quickly respond to patient phone calls and messages. However, our providers and nurses often find it difficult to break away from seeing patients and other responsibilities. Your call may be returned by a triage nurse.
If you would prefer to speak directly to your physician or nurse, please inform the operator. In this case, please be patient; it can take 24 to 48 hours for your call to be returned.
On-Call
When the office is closed, calling (336) 716-4479 will connect you to our answering service. They will give your message to the on-call doctor who will call you back. Please be patient if this takes a while because the doctor is also caring for patients in the hospital and emergency room! If our on-call doctor recommends that you go to the Baptist Hospital/Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Emergency Room, upon arrival let the nurse there know that you are a Family Medicine patient.
