The Digestive Health Center at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center opened in September, 2003. The new facility features streamlined scheduling procedures, an expanded staff, and reduced waiting times for elective procedures -- as well as state-of-the-art equipment and increased patient privacy.

In addition to the GI Consultation Clinic, an outpatient clinic of North Carolina Baptist Hospital, the Digestive Health Center includes a new Endoscopy Suite and the region's only GI Neuromuscular Center. The staff includes specialists in the detection and prevention of colon cancer; the diagnosis and treatment of biliary conditions, pancreatic disorders, and gastroesophageal reflux diseases (GERD);and the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease.

The Center's highly qualified and experienced staff of physicians, nurses, and technicians uses the region's most advanced equipment and procedures to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal diseases. Click here for brief descriptions of some of the procedures available at the Center.

The new Prep/Recovery Rooms (shown in photo below) and Consultation Rooms in the Digestive Health Center are private, pleasant, and fitted with state-of-the-art equipment.

Located on the Medical Center's Winston-Salem campus, the new Digestive Health Center is easy to find, and there is ample parking (with reasonably-priced valet parking available) nearby.
