Physicians in General Internal Medicine Coordinate Comprehensive Care for Each Patient

Our physicians are dedicated to providing continuing care for patients. This includes wellness checks as well as prevention and care of multiple acute (e.g., sinus infections, muscle sprains) and chronic (e.g., high blood pressure, asthma, diabetes, high cholesterol, arthritis) problems. The general internist’s goal is to serve as the primary physician throughout a patient’s lifetime.

Board certification in Internal Medicine requires a three-year residency-training program and passing a rigorous examination given by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Many of our physicians have additional years of training in geriatrics, public health, epidemiology, behavioral health, quality improvement, etc.

Our physicians provide outpatient care at the Downtown Health Plaza, Outpatient Clinic, Straftord Executive Park, and the University of Internal Medicine Association.
