Think. Move. Live. – Our Leading Aging Program

At Wake Forest Baptist, we are truly leaders in transforming the lives of the patients we care for in our home community in Winston-Salem and throughout the region, as well as touching lives across the nation.

One of the most important things we can do is help older adults stay healthy and live independently as long as possible by maintaining their activity levels and their cognitive levels. This is the real centerpiece of our aging programs.

Thanks to the great collaborative work of our faculty investigators, clinicians and their teams from across the Medical Center, we have discovered new ways to maintain cognition and mobility in aging Americans. We are not just publishing great research but also taking this work directly to the bedside and doorstep of our patients, teaching future doctors and investigators, and partnering with caregivers in the community.
