Remembering Katherine Davis

When Nancy Katherine Davis died on March 16 in Winston-Salem, the school lost much more than just someone who had a knack for remembering things. It lost perhaps the most beloved individual in its 111-year history.
Katherine Davis
The kindness she extended to generations of medical students as a professional, friend, confidant and volunteer spanned seven decades and created a profound impact. Alumni point out that while Carpenter, Dr. Manson Meads and others directed the medical school from the dean’s office, it was Davis who kept the school’s everyday business humming along.

To learn more about Katherine Davis and her impact on generations of alumni, read our article in Catalyst and see the video of some of her dear friends speaking of her great work.
