You Can Make the Difference

Every day, philanthropic support enhances the lives of the many patients, medical students, researchers, faculty and staff at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

This might happen through …

  • A significant planned gift made through an estate plan
  • A modest annual gift from an individual or family
  • A contribution from a business
  • A grant made by a foundation
  • A financial commitment of any size designated to support the people and programs of the Medical Center and the Wake Forest School of Medicine

Regardless of source or purpose, every contribution counts toward making a difference for people.

Newmans fund scholarship

Newmans fund scholarship

W. Harold Newman, MD ’56, and his wife Ernestine, helped three of their four children through the School of Medicine, but they wanted to make sure others had that experience as well. The Fayetteville, N.C., couple, who have traveled the world on medical missions as a way of giving back, recently endowed the Newman Family Scholarship with a $100,000 gift to the school. Preference for the award would be given to students who show a desire to volunteer and give back to their community.
