Job Description


Wake Forest Baptist Health - Lexington Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant I to work in the Med/Surg Department. This individual will be responsible for providing clinical assistance to patients, providing education as needed and provide a high level of patient care. The CNAI will assist the clinical staff with procedures as well as perform lab tests. They will also provide complete and accurate documentation in the medical record as necessary and complete call backs as instructed by the provider. To be considered for this position the candidate must be a high school graduate or equivalent and be Certified Nursing Assistant currently listed with the NC DHHS- Division of Health Service Regulation Health Care Personnel Registery with no substantiated findings of abuse, neglect, or misappropriations of property. The schedule for this position is 7am-7pm with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsible for providing care to patient, which is supportive to the care given by nurses.

*High school graduate (or equivalent)

*Certified Nursing Assistant currently listed with the Division of Health Service Regulation with no substantiated findings of abuse, neglect, or misappropriations of property.

*Clinical experience preferred.

*Legible handwriting.

*Data entry or keyboard experience preferred,

*Completes eight hours of required continuing education annually.

*Through education, experience, and/or training, the individual is qualified to work with patients throughout the life cycle (infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric).
