Wake Forest Baptist Health - Lexington Medical Center is seeking a full time Dietary Aide to work in the Dietary Department. The Dietary Aide needs to posess a high level of customer care and service skills, be able to multi-task and have some computer skills. There will be a variety of duties which include food preparation, cleaning, delivery of trays and operating the cash register. The schedule for this position will have variable hours up to 8pm with rotating weekends. Minimum qualifications include: high school diploma or equivalent, flexibility to work varied schedules, have a stable work history and able to operate a cash register. Applicants with previous commercial food service experience are preferred.

 

Serves food in cafeteria, operates cash register, washes dishes and pots and pans, delivers trays, prepares salads and desserts, assists on tray line.

 

  • Previous food service and/or cashiering experience preferred.
  • Available to work varied schedules.
  • Ability to read and follow directions.

  • Frequent heavy lifting required (up to 20 lbs.).
  • Constant mobility (including, but not limited to walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods).
  • Verbal communication skills.
  • Exposure to very warm working conditions at times.
