Director of Audiology and Vestibular Services

This assistant professor faculty position will serve as the Clinical Director of Audiology and Vestibular Services within Otolaryngology Communication Sciences. Efforts will be primarily clinical, with devoted time for academic and research endeavors as well as administrative responsibilities.

Clinic efforts include directing care for vestibular and balance services including vestibular testing and comprehensive audiological evaluations, and coordinating multi-disciplinary patient care, in a manner that opens access and creates an exceptional patient experience.

Academic responsibilities include organizing and facilitating learning opportunities for audiology staff, mentoring student research projects, and participating in continuing education activities. This position supports training and mentoring of audiology students, medical students, resident physicians and fellows, inclusive of interdepartmental vestibular and balance education.

Research efforts will be collaborative with neuro-otology and focused on garnering grants to support audiology and vestibular studies.

Outreach pursuits will include building a successful audiology, vestibular and balance practice through development and continued growth of a referral base of primary care and specialty care physicians.

The ideal candidate will have the following credentials:
'' PhD in Audiology, although an AuD with necessary experience and credentials
will be considered
'' Specialty interests and experience in vestibular studies and in developing and
directing a vestibular and balance program
'' Proven scholarly activities including lectures and presentations at professional
meetings and leadership in professional organizations
'' Research interests in vestibular and balance studies and knowledge of grant
writing
'' Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to develop a team environment
for delivering optimum patient care
